Product description Designed for stage use, the RCF TT45-CXA is an active, high-output monitor capable of pushing 2200W RMS. It provides a frequency response of 45 Hz to 20 kHz through its 2 x 10" speaker configuration, utilizing a three-way class-D amplifier to power the sound. It delivers a coverage area of 50x90° for those on stage. Though the unit was designed to be a floor monitor, it can also double as speakers for a PA system, as the TT45-CXA gives you a steel pole-mount for use in public-address scenarios.
32-bit floating-point DSP is on hand, operating at 48 kHz and handling aspects of the sound, including crossover and transducer alignment, programmable equalization curves, programmable output time delay, soft limiting, RMS current monitoring, and more. XLR jacks are provided for analog connections, though the unit also sports etherCON connections for RCF's RDNet control. If you wish to forego networking and controlling the unit from a centralized hub, you can use the rear-panel rotary encoder to change various functions on the speaker.
The cabinet itself is constructed from Baltic birch plywood, with special glue employed to ensure water resistance. To withstand the rigors of the road, the internal structure of the cabinet has been heavily braced, with large metal brackets reinforcing the cabinet throughout. The amplifier and transducers reside in different chambers to bolster stability and efficiency. Three handles are onboard to facilitate transportation. - HF Design
- The TT45-CXA uses high-performance, 4"-diaphragm compression drivers with an 1.5" exit throat, implementing an oxygen-free process of molding thin films made of pure titanium into its diaphragms. This process ensures an extended high response and consistent power handling. A special dampening adhesive is applied to the area where the titanium suspension is bonded to the assembly ring in order to remove distortions or resonances.
- Direct-Drive Voice Coils
- For further high-end precision, high-temperature Kapton voice-coil former and copper-clad aluminum wire has been employed. The top of the former is bent and bonded directly to the edge of the titanium diaphragm, resulting in RCF's Direct-Drive configuration, and ensuring an optimal energy transfer between the voice coil and the dome. This helps in providing a smoother and extended frequency response, above 10 kHz, all while reducing break-ups and distortions.
- Woofer Design
- The TT45-CXA's woofers offer a fast and accurate bass response, as well as neutral midrange response. Their neodymium magnetic structure provides precise dynamics, while 3.0" voice coils offer high power handling compared to standard voice coils. The dual-forced air venting system secures efficient ventilation to minimize power compression.
- RDNet Control
- This monitor sports EtherCON ports which facilitate RDNet Control. Remote monitoring, special custom equalizations, high and low pass, single way Solo and Mute, and many other options are all available on RDNet. RDNet protocol can monitor all the system parameters, from the input to the status of each amplifier. You can modify settings of single cabinets or groups of cabinets all via RDNet GUI software.
