Product description The RDL EZ-HK2 Composite Video Hum Killer is a high-quality video transformer isolation module. It's designed specifically for use with 75 ohm composite video. The device features both input and output connections on gold-plated RCA jacks. Each input jack is electrically isolated from the case itself, as well as from the output ground. Each output jack is connected to the rear-panel ground-lift switch, which is designed to eliminate hum due to ground loops. Ground loops are common when the EZ-HK2 is installed between a video source, such as a computer or DVD player, and the input of a grounded video monitor or projector in an AV or video system. Key Features - Composite Video Input
- Plug a video cable into the jack. The other end of the video cable may be fed from any standard video source including a DVD player, VCR, composite video card or television tuner
- Composite Video Output
- Plug a video cable into the jack. Connect the other end of the video cable to the video input of a DVD player, VCR, TV video monitor or other equipment with a video input
- Ground-Lift Switch
- The video output cable shield is connected to the EZ-HK2 chassis when the switch is in the NORM position. In the unlikely event that the EZ-HK2 chassis is mounted to equipment with a different ground from the equipment the EZ-HK2 output is feeding, a ground loop could be produced. This ground loop is eliminated by setting the switch to the LIFT position
Highlights - Video ground-loop hum elimination
- 75 ohm composite video galvanic isolation
- Portable use or permanent installation
- Excellent low and high video frequency response
