Product description Dedicated to the Canon EOS 5D Mark III, the B5D3-LB L-Plate from Really Right Stuff is an Arca-type compatible plate that facilitates easier, more stable switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations when working atop a tripod. The L-shape of the plate also benefits shooting in vertical orientation with panorama nodal slides, for maintaining a consistent nodal point, and shooting in horizontal orientation with side-mount gimbal heads.
The dedicated design maintains full access to the battery door and has a notched cutout for a shutter release cable. A boss for attaching an accessory hand strap is also available. Additionally, the CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum construction is finished with a Type II black anodizing, a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting socket is featured on the base, and laser-engraved center marks are placed on both axes for easy alignment.
