Product description The L-Plate Set for Sony a99 II from Really Right Stuff is a modular design composed of a Base Plate and an L-Component. Both parts create an L-Plate, which can be changed while on top of a tripod, from a vertical to a horizontal position without sacrificing your center of axis. The Arca-type compatible dovetails found on the both axes add quick release functionality to the camera, and anti-twist flanges prevent the camera from moving. Additionally, the base plate has a magnetic storage spot for the included hex key. The L-Plate maintains complete access to the battery door and the camera's ports. Both parts can be separated slightly, and retightened with the included hex key if more room is needed for your tethering cables or cable release. Furthermore, there is no obstruction to the movement of the LCD monitor on the camera. In addition, a boss has been machined into the side of the plate, so an accessory hand or shoulder strap can fit. Type II black anodizing has been applied to the CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum. The anodizing has given the L-Plate a smooth surface, which is resistant to scuffs, scratches, and corrosion. Furthermore, the L-Plate has laser engraved center marks on the back of each axis for alignment on a head.
