Product description This TA-2-LB Series 2 Leveling Base with Platform from Really Right Stuff is designed for the Versa series 2 tripods. The top plate of the tripod is removed and replaced by setting the leveling base in its place, which then locks down by the tripod's supplied hex key. The same series 2 center columns are also compatible with the leveling base by removing the platform from the center column and screwing the base directly on to it. Once the leveling base is attached, you now have a smooth moving half-ball with an adjustment range of plus or minus 15°, and with its easy-to-read 12mm bull's-eye spirit level, it will enable you to align to the horizon every time. The base will support up to 25 lb and you can secure your leveled position with the butterfly-shaped locking ring. At the top of the leveling base, you will find a 3/8"-16 stainless steel stud, which enables the user to attach different types of heads with the same thread. Also, a reducer bushing can be placed on top to accommodate 1/4"-20 threads.
