Product description The Red Giant Instant HD Plug-In is a plug-in for up-converting footage to a variety of HD formats. This is an electronic download of the academic version and is only available to academic institutions, professors, students and 501-C non-profits. The plug-in supports both Windows and Mac platforms, working with select versions of Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
Instant HD is fast to use, and includes 40 preset output resolutions for you to choose from and you can also specify your own output resolution. The plug-in supports uprezzing both Progressive and Interlaced footage, while the included adjustable sharpening and anti-aliasing tools give you control over the tell tale signs of uprezzed footage. You can choose from 4 different render settings to balance speed versus quality. Instant HD is compatible with 64-bit operating systems that provide performance gains to speed your work along. Included with Instant HD is a separate plug-in, ReSizer, which offers additional controls for Deinterlace, Percentage Value scaling and Aspect Ratio presets. Instant HD can run as a plug-in on more than one host application, but may only be installed on a single computer at one time. - AcademicVersion

- Host Application Support
- Instant HD works as a plug-in for select versions of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro and Apple's Final Cut Pro. Please check the specifications tab for a list of the supported software versions.
- Uprez and Convert
- Instant HD quickly up-converts your SD or DV video into a variety of High Definition formats, generating new pixels, then adding sharpening and anti-aliasing to preserve the image details. Up-convert web cam and cell phone clips to Standard Definition video. Conform SD motion graphics to High Definition broadcast.
- Simple Controls
- Instant HD features simple and speedy controls. You specify Output Size, Filter Type, Sharpness, Quality and Antialiasing settings, then preview your results in seconds. The Sharpening slider improves the uprezzed details and final appearance of your footage. The anti-aliasing slider smoothes the "jaggies" once your footage has been enlarged.
- Output Frame Resolution
- Choose from 40 output resolution presets including; DV, D1 and PAL, 720p and 720p Fit to Fill, HDV 1080p, HD 1080p Fit to Fill, and HD 1080p Fit to Height and 2K Film Fit to Fill. You can enter a custom frame size to output to, up to the maximum resolution supported by the host application Instant HD will automatically choose the most effective scaling option for your selected resolution, using a Lock Aspect Ratio to avoid image distortion or unnatural stretching.
- Scaling Type/Render Mode
- Instant HD allows you to Choose from four settings to balance quality and render time. Use Draft for previewing, while Quick renders quickly and still looks good. Better and Best show improved edges and image contrast.
- Includes ReSizer 2.2
- ReSizer has different but equally fast algorithms for uprezzing your footage, and offers additional controls such as built-in Deinterlace, Percentage Adobe Premiere Pro above versions CS3 & CS4.
