Product description The ultraCage Black DSLR eyeSpy from Redrock Micro is a 15mm rod, shoulder-mount rig for DSLR cameras. It centers around the Black Professional Series ultraCage and includes components that raise and offset the cage so that you can monitor footage directly on your camera's rear LCD screen. A pair of 18" long 15mm carbon fiber rods support the entire system, which consists of the ultraCage, 8" long 15mm rods, microLink4 Riser, a pair of microHandGrips with handlebar rods and rod clamp, and a microShoulderPad with FieldTech. - Camera Compatibility
- Cage fits most standard height DSLRs, including (but not limited to):
Canon T2i, T3i, 60D, 7D, 5D Mark II, 5D MarK III Nikon D90, D300s, D800 Sony A50 series, A60 series, A70 series Many Nikon and Canon cameras have an additional anti-rotation locking pin for added support. While not required, it provides an extra level of security. Smaller mirrorless cameras, such as Micro Four Thirds cameras are compatible, but because they are smaller all features of the ultraCage may not work exactly the same. For example, the bottom battery door is covered on the smaller MFT cameras, and the cage won't be as formfitting. Not Compatible: Taller cameras such as the Canon 1D X, Nikon D4, or cameras with standard height DSLRs with battery grips attached are not compatible. - ultraCage
- Your camera is secured in the ultraCage by a 1/4"-20 screw, locking pin (for compatible cameras), and a universal adjustable hot shoe clamp. These multiple contact points keep the camera from shifting in the cage. The cage also leaves all buttons, ports, and battery door accessible so you won't have to remove the camera from the cage during shoots. The cage provides 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads for attaching accessories. It also features top and bottom 15mm rod clamps built-in. A pair of 8" long 15mm rods are included with this kit, which slot into the bottom rod clamp and allow support for optional accessories such as a follow focus and matte box. The rods also support the included microLink4 Riser, which attaches the cage to the main support rods, raising and offsetting it for easier LCD screen viewing.
- Dual microHandGrips
- The rubberized handgrips prove a comfortable, non-slip grip when shoulder-mounting the rig. To attach the handgrips to the main 15mm support rods, a Handlebar Clamp is included, along with 4" and 8" Handlebar Rods that screw into the sides of the clamp. The handgrips clamp onto the rods, and allow for angle adjustment.
- microShoulderPad
- The microShoulderPad features a FieldTech shoulder pad made of Cordura, breathable 3D mesh, and free-forming microPoly beads, which conforms to the shape of your shoulder. It attaches to the mains support rods using a 15mm rod clamp and has tripod 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod mounting threads at the bottom.
