Product description - Which Scout is Right for You?
The ultraCage Scout HS from Redrock Micro is a portable, handheld hybrid cage and rig for mirrorless and DSLR cameras. It features a precision-machined cage with integrated fingerwheel for focus control and a built-in Canon LP-E6 battery slot for onboard power. It is designed for existing microRemote users – just plug your microRemote system into the Scout ultraCage using the included Y cable for fingerwheel control and power.Scout can be configured to fit most handheld cameras, ranging from smaller mirrorless to larger DSLRs, while leaving all camera functions fully accessible. The rig's aluminum frame gives your camera added protection from bumps and scrapes, and its integrated cold shoe mount enables you to mount up to two accessories. Scout's opposite-side handgrip provides balance for handheld shots, and the integrated fingerwheel electronically drives smooth focus without your hand ever leaving the grip.The ultraCage Scout HS has setup options to adapt to different shooting styles. You can use the rig in Expanded mode by extending the handgrip for comfortable and balanced handholding, or collapse the rig into Compact mode for a smaller setup designed for use on cine-style rigs, such as studio and shoulder mount rigs or on gimbals.
