Product description Built into a single rack space, the Remote Audio SPEAKEASY R1 is ideal for remote audio production. This self-contained, stereo, 12VDC powered speaker system is housed in a compact and lightweight enclosure. It features a low current draw, while still having the volume needed for use in facility equipment rooms. The SPEAKEASY's main power push-button is located on the front panel and it illuminates when powered on. The front panel also houses the main volume control and headphone jack. When the headphone jack is in use, it automatically mutes the speakers.The SPEAKEASY R1 features a source selector as well. It allows monitoring of left input only, right input only, stereo or a summed mono version of L/R inputs. The SPEAKEASY R1 has balanced dual XLR jacks and a single unbalanced 1/4" jack, which allows a stereo input signal on the 1/4" connector - meaning a single cable can feed the SPEAKEASY R1. This provides a convenient way to insert the system into an existing rack setup with a headphone feed from a mixer using a TRS to TRS cable. On the back of the SPEAKEASY R1 are two DC input connectors for added convenience. It will operate on 9 - 20 VDC and an external 12 VDC power supply is available (sold separately). - Self-contained, stereo, 12VDC-powered speaker system
