Product description Use the RigMount XL16 Camera Mounting Platform from RigWheels to mount your camera on the metal or glass surface of a car, boat, or moving vehicle. The mount consists of one RigPlate cheese-style platform, sixteen magnetic mounts, eight A-Cup suction mounts, four rig-mounting axles, and all the required connection hardware. The durable metal platform provides stability and weight distribution for large-format cameras.
At the center of the mount is the versatile RigPlate which provides ten 1/4"-20 and five 3/8"-16 threaded holes in addition to four 5/16" and five 3/8" pass-through holes for mounting your camera and accessories. The four axles connect to the bottom of the plate with thumbscrews and can be adjusted in any configuration to balance your camera. The sixteen magnets and eight suction mounts can be used separately or intermixed to create a solid connection with the metal surface. The magnets have a thin, rubber coating to protect the surface and provide up to 50 pounds of vertical pull resistance for a secure bond.
Since the mounting kit components are modular, they can be used in various ways such as a hi-hat mount configuration, or more components can be purchased such as additional magnets for attaching to a glass surface, wheels, and dolly rails. All the hardware required for attaching the mount components is included. Note: This product should always be used with a secondary form of mounting.
