Product description The HDSP System, from RME consists of either a PCI card or a CardBus PCMCIA interface, plus an external I/O-box, that together can operate on either a desktop or a laptop computer. The Digface is a digital input/output box housed in a small, compact enclosure. It provides three ADAT optical I/Os, ADAT-Sync In, S/PDIF I/O and Word clock I/O, along with two MIDI I/Os and a separate stereo analog line out. Since the parts of the Hammerfall DSP System can be combined freely, the Digiface can be used both with notebooks as well as desktop computers and provides "Zero CPU Load" technology that guarantees high performance and low latency. Note: To make a complete system, an optional computer interface, such as the HDSP PCI card or HDSP PCMCIA CardBus interface has to be purchased - Fifty-two channel S/PDIF-ADAT interface for use in RME HDSP computer audio systems

- Automatic and intelligent master/slave clock control
- ADAT Sync In (9-pin D-sub) for sample-accurate transfers with unsurpassed Bitclock PLL (audio synchronization) in ADAT mode
- SyncCheck tests and reports the synchronization status of input signals
- Software based TotalMix 1,456 channel mixer with 40-bit internal resolution
