Product description Eliminate unnecessary filler time at your next gig with the Roadie Bass, an automatic tuner that allows electric bassists to switch between alternate or custom tunings on the spot. Like other members in the Roadie automatic tuner series, the Roadie Bass works not only with its intended instrument, but with any stringed instrument equipped with guitar-like tuning pegs. Operation is simple: Clamp the Roadie Bass onto a tuning peg, pluck the string, and let the device do the work as it uses its pre-programmed settings to tune your string. The Roadie Bass has a detection range of between 27.5 to 880 Hz. Should you opt to use the Roadie Bass as a string winder; you'll find the 40-RPM motor will come in handy, as it's faster than your fingers. The Roadie Bass comes with a free app that turns your iOS or Android device into a control center, letting you choose from—or create—a plethora of alternate tunings. The app will also keep track of your strings' health, gently reminding you when it might be time to swap them out for a new set. The device and the app communicate over Bluetooth 4.0. You can also use the device without the app in standalone mode, where presets are available directly from the Roadie Bass, selectable by means of the unit's intuitive side screen. The tuner features a rechargeable battery that'll last up to 150 string changes. A USB charging cable is included.
