Product description The silver 1TB Commanderx EC31 USB 3.1 Solid State Drive from Rocstor connects to a notebook or desktop via an included USB 3.1 cable to deliver up to 1TB of storage capacity for your Windows and Mac systems. To prevent unwanted access of sensitive files, Rocstor has equipped the EC31 with a hardware encryption module that safeguards the data in real-time. Accessing the protected data requires the use of one of the three included key tokens. In addition, due to the heat dissipating automatically through the enclosure, there is no fan installed, which makes the device virtually silent while it is operating.
For portability, the CommanderX EC31 comes equipped with an integrated power supply without needing an external bulky adapter. Furthermore, a hardware-based encryption chipset is integrated into the internal circuitry. The cryptographic encryption module contains features such as AES 256-bit key strength, and real-time encryption so that there is virtually zero time spent encrypting and decrypting the data. Using encrypted CBC mode, the encryption chipset bears certifications from NIST (the National Institute of Standards and Technology), and FIPS Level 2 for a Cryptographic Module.
The CommanderX is authenticated by a digital key token, which is inserted for authentication, and removed soon as per the device is authenticated, and then ready for secure data transfer. Included along with the CommanderX EC31 is a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable, three smart token keys, a power cable, and a carrying case. - Desktop and portable external storage drive
