Product description NAB 2019: G-Tech, SanDisk, and WD Show Off Latest Storage Solutions Read More The silver 4TB Hawker HX USB Encrypted External SSD from Rocstor is designed and engineered to satisfy the requirements of demanding security-concerned professionals by coming with hardware encryption for up to 4TB of data. It is outfitted with an SSD that offers reliability and faster performance than a hard drive. With fast reads and writes, this drive transfers data quickly to deliver instant access to your files.
The Hawker HX has an encryption chipset that provides real-time encrypting and decrypting of sensitive data. This chipset uses an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit key algorithm and offers CBC and ECB modes. To access the data, the included digital key token needs to be inserted in the Hawker HX. Furthermore, the encryption module has been certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and FIPS Level 2.
Aside from data security, the Hawker HX is built with USB and eSATA connections that enable support from a variety of Windows and Mac systems. Once connected, it draws power from a bus-powered port without the need for carrying an external adapter. To make it rugged and durable, Rocstor has designed the Hawker HX with an aircraft-grade aluminum case. Another notable feature included is a shock-absorbing mechanism that keeps the SSD suspended within the casing to provide additional protection. - Encryption Features

- The full-length bridgeboard provides additional protection by supporting the entire length of the hard drive. A strong aluminum rim holds the hard drive chassis firmly in place, eliminating stress on the bridgeboard and preventing damage due to impact or violent movement
- Thermal Protection and Load-Bearing Case
- The precision density of the rugged aluminum aircraft-grade border provides excellent heat dissipation and is strong enough to bear external weight
- Shock Absorbent Protection
- The shock-absorbent dampers strip between the bridgeboard and chassis offers additional resistance against accidental drops and bumps. The disposition of the hard drive and housing profile form an anti-shock chamber to cushion the blow of potential impacts
