Product description The silver CommanderX EC31 2TB 3.5" External Solid State Drive from Rocstor utilizes USB 3.1 Gen2 connectivity for fast data transfer. It lets you secure your valuable data with FIPS 140-2 Level 2 validated encryption algorithm AES-256. All data contained on the drive is protected against unauthorized access, including hardware theft, failure of a drive, or drive retirement. The encrypted data cannot be accessed without the use of a unique Secure Key Token Authentication. The CommanderX EC31 is authenticated by a digital key token, which is inserted for authentication, and removed soon after the device is authenticated, and then ready for encrypted secure data transfer. It features a rugged 1.5 lb of recycled aluminum case that can be conveniently stacked or mounted vertically. With its built-in fan-less power supply, the EC31 can be easily moved from one desktop environment to another using the provided Rocstor carrying case.The built-in power supply offers you the convenience by eliminating the need to carry a non-standard A/C adaptors and cables. The power supply contained in the CommanderX line is auto-switchable and uses any standard computer cable, no matter what country you are in. In addition, due to the heat dissipating automatically through the enclosure, there is no fan installed, which makes the device virtually silent while it is operating. -
