Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More Built with 6 Gb/s SAS host performance to help increase system performance, the Eneroc 64TB S630 16-Bay SAS RAID Array (16 x 4TB) from Rocstor features high capacity expansion with 16 hot-swappable SAS-II / SATA III drive bays that are contained within a 19" / 3 RU rackmount form factor.
The Eneroc S630 has a total storage capacity of 64TB, made up of 16 x 4TB 7200 rpm Enterprise SAS 3.5" drives. The system is further supported by an 800 MHz Dual-Core processor and 16GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC RAM. The S630 can be configured as RAID 0, 1, 10 (1E), 3, 5, 6, 30, 50, and 60, each of which provides data redundancy, performance, or a combination of both. For those who do not require the functionality of RAID, this array may also be configured as JBOD. For those who need to expand their system's storage, external expansion supports up to 192 disks.
This RAID array comes equipped with dual controllers that offer power and cooling with dual 500W power supplies and cooling fans. As this array has dual controllers, it also has four SAS host channels (two per controller) that can be used to connect to a SAS HBA on the host system, or to connect to a SAS switch. Two SAS expansion ports (one per controller) may be used for expansion, or to connect to the "SAS In" port of a JBOD subsystem, while two COM2 RJ-11 ports (one per controller) may be used to connect to CLI (command line interfaces) and perform tasks such as upgrading the expander firmware. Two separate COM1 RJ-11 ports (one per controller) may be used to check for controller debug messages, and two R-Link (10/100/1000 RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet) ports (one per controller) may be used to manage the RAID subsystem using your network and web browser.
