Product description The Enteroc N56 Desktop NAS Server from Rocstor is designed to be used for backup, synchronization, remote access and serving home entertainment. Its five drive bays support 3.5" and 2.5" SATA III (6 Gb/s) hard drives and SSDs (20TB SSD pre-installed). The server's storage can be configured as RAID 0/1/5/6/10 or JBOD to fit your performance, capacity and redundancy needs.
The Enteroc N56 runs the ProNAS OS and Disk Manager, an enterprise NAS operating system that helps simplify the configuration and management of your data infrastructure. The NAS uses a quad-core 2.0 GHz Intel Celeron CPU and provides 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM for quick access to frequently used files and applications. AES 256-bit encryption allows you to encrypt the disk volumes on the NAS to safeguard sensitive data.
A single USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports allow the server to be connected to your Windows, Mac, or Linux/UNIX system and an eSATA port enables you to add an external storage device for extra storage space or backup. Network connectivity is achieved via two integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports and failover support ensures continuous system operations. - Intel Celeron Quad-Core CPU

- Logical Volume AES-256 Encryption
- For extensive data protection, the Enteroc N56 offers AES-256 logical volume encryption. If shared folders have not been created in the logical volume setup, the volume can be encrypted by selecting the Encrypt option in the setup. After an encrypted volume is created, the system downloads the key file automatically. The key is a part of the encryption validation and the volume cannot be accessed without the key file.
- SSD Cache Technology
- The Enteroc N56 supports SSD caching, enabling an SSD drive to be used in conjunction with a high-capacity HDD. Your most frequently used applications and data are automatically stored into the SSD while you retain full access to the large storage capacity of the HDD.

- The Rocstor Enteroc N56 supports Windows LDAP, backup/restore from attached storage device (USB/eSATA/iSCSI/RDX/USM), backup/restore from remote share (CIFS/NFS), backup to cloud (Amazon S3), VMware ESXi 5 iSCSI/FC/NFS VAAI, Microsoft Windows 98 / ME / NT / 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista / 2008 / Win7 / Windows 2012 / Win 8 Unix / Win 10, Linux, Mac OS, iSCSI target manager (which supports LUN mapping / initiator filter / thin provisioning), NIC / trunking / load balance / failover / 802.3ad and more.

- The Enteroc N56 offers data deduplication, which is a method of reducing storage needs by eliminating redundant data. Only one unique instance of the data is actually retained on storage media.
