Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More dqfzvzdvxvwzreaqvsbdsxxszuzcyzequtsxar The Rocstor Thunderstudio 16TB Thunderbolt 2 RAID Array houses your Apple Mac Pro to provide it with four additional PCIe x16 slots as well as 16TB of RAID-capable storage drives. The Thunderstudio features eight 2.5" hot-swappable drive bays, which house eight 2TB SATA 7,200 rpm HDDs. To enhance this storage solution, Rocstor has included an ATTO 6Gb SAS RAID controller that lets you set the drives in a RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 10 50, or 60 array via a browser-based GUI system. In addition, this PCIe x8 controller card occupies one of the four PCIe slots and comes with 1GB of ECC memory.
The Rocstor Thunderstudio RAID array supports virtually all full-height and full-length PCI cards. For powering the drives and dedicated graphics cards, a 460W power supply is on board. The Thunderstudio sports four Thunderbolt 2 ports, which are driven by two independent Thunderbolt 20 Gb/s bridge circuits. Each of these circuits manages two of the four PCIe slots, providing high-speed bandwidth for your demanding applications. The Thunderstudio connects to your Mac Pro via Thunderbolt 2 technology and comes with ports that include USB 3.0, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, audio, and more. There's also an integrated fan that helps keep the Mac, PCIe cards, and drives running smoothly. - The versatile chassis system of the Thunderstudio safely houses your Mac Pro computer while providing access to the Mac Pro's on/off power function and all of its I/O ports. In the front of the chassis, you will find an easy access panel with ports such as GbE, USB 3.0, HDMI, microphone, and headphone ports. In the rear of the chassis, you'll have access to Thunderbolt-2 expansion ports and any ports provided by installed PCIe peripheral cards. You can also install the access panel on the rear rather than the front.

- The architectural design of Thunderstudio enhances operating bandwidth for demanding applications by utilizing all the 20 Gbps bandwidth available from each Thunderbolt port. The Thunderstudio system is an Intel-Certified product featuring four PCIe x16 (mechanically, x4 electrically) expansion slots. The Thunderstudio supports virtually all full-height and full-length PCIe cards. It provides extra DC power connections for GPUs requiring those additional connections. Moreover, you can use available Thunderbolt 2 ports for daisy-chaining other Thunderbolt devices.

The ATTO SAS RAID controller occupies one of the PCIe slots and adds RAID protection to the integrated 8-bay SAS storage solution. Delivering advancements in performance and flexibility with enterprise-class features, this RAID adapter provides ECC protected cache memory in an affordable RAID solution for general IT, media, and entertainment environments. Additionally, the 8-bay drive cage comes with disk drive carriers as well as a 6Gb SAS backplane.
