Product description The Rodenstock 35mm f/4 HR Digaron-S Lens with eShutter is a wide angle large format lens specifically designed for use with digital backs, which require a smaller image circle with extreme resolution, color correction, and maximum performance at a large aperture. This lens is recommended for use with backs having a 33 x 44mm maximum image area, providing a view similar to that of a 28mm lens on a 35mm format camera; a classic focal length. For optimal performance this lens is recommended to be stopped down to f/5.6, necessitating use of your camera's movements to control the depth of field. One of the unique performance features of this lens is the electronic eShutter in traditional "0" size. The Shutter employs 7 blade technology that yields nearly perfect circular openings for edge-to-edge evenness of exposure. But that's just the beginning. Open architecture, state-of-the art components and electronics make the shutter compatible not only with the popular Sinar system, but with virtually all other systems. The eShutter features impressive control options via Mac or PC computers. It comes with its own rechargeable wireless controller but you can also use your iPhone, iPad or iTouch as remote controllers. Shutter speeds are available from 1/250 second in precise 1/6 f/stop increments with exposures running literally hours long. Rodenstock's digitally-specific lenses such as this HR Diagram-S provide image quality which allows the maximum capacity of a digital back to be realized. The lens utilizes every technological innovation aimed at getting as close as possible to the absolute limits of diffraction-determined resolution, - even accounting for the properties and thickness of a CCD's protective glass. - Extreme high resolution lens specifically for digital backs as large as 33 x 44mm
- Produces extremely fine, uniform 70mm image circle
- Wide angle view with 90° coverage
- Apochromatic design to eliminate color fringing
- Ideal working aperture of f/5.6
- Accepts 67 mm threaded filters
