Product description The Rodenstock eShutter Control Box connects to the eShutter via the shutter's hard-wired cable and provides the interface between the shutter and the means of control; either a computer, iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. Once the Control Box is connected to the eShutter, a computer can be connected via the eShutter USB Cable to provide power to the eShutter and to control exposure settings. Additionally, the Control Box provides other ports for more connections: cable or remote release via LAN port or 2.5mm jack; serial interface with adapter for PC sync terminal for connection to digital back; DIN plug for external power supply; 5.5 2.1mm cavity plug for external power supply; and an X-sync contact for flash synchronization. There is also a single LED that will display readiness status: a green light indicates the shutter is ready for an exposure, a red light indicates there is not enough power available for a shutter actuation.
An external power supply (external power supply unit or battery) is recommended for exposure rates faster than one image every five seconds, including the maximum 1.5 frames per second.
Note: An external power supply must have an output between 5-24V. Power with a different output may damage the Control Box and the eShutter, and voids all warranties and guarantees. - Connection interface between eShutter and other peripherals.
- Facilitates exposure control via USB connection to computer or by wireless control with iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad (when using Rodenstock eShutter App).
- Provides ports for external power supply, remote control, and flash sync connections.
- LED indicator provides visual display of shutter status.
