Product description Unveiled: Roland Blues Cube Hot Guitar Amplifiers Read More Using Roland's Tube Logic, the Blues Cube Hot Guitar Combo Amplifier brings on the familiar tone and feel that's characteristic of a traditional tube amp, but without the weight or maintenance involved. Featuring a 30-watt output through a 12" speaker, the Blues Cube Hot will be right at home at clubs or other smaller venues, and its light weight makes it easily portable from your home to your next gig. The top panel holds the amp's control section, where you'll find the Volume knob with Boost and Tone switches, a 3-band EQ with Bass, Middle, and Treble controls, a Reverb control, and a Master volume control. Right next to the Master knob is the Power Control, which allows you to reduce the output of the amp without changing the tone. This single-channel design offers ease-of-use without compromising on tonal versatility. The Blues Cube Hot doesn't just sound the part, it also has the looks of a professional amplifier. The textured vintage blonde finish offers a modern take on a vintage style. The poplar plywood cabinet is a classic design, with an open back revealing the custom-tuned 12" Blues Cube speaker. In addition to a direct line out, other modern features not available on vintage tube amplifiers include a stereo headphone output, and a USB recording output for painless direct-to-PC sessions. - Tube Logic
- Originally featured in the first iteration of the Blues Cube in the '90s, and improved upon since then, Tube Logic not only emulates the sound of a tube amplifier's output, it simulates the inner workings the amplifier itself. In classic tube amps, the individual components interact with each other to create memorable tones. Tube Logic takes that interaction into account in order to provide a similar feel, sound, and touch sensitivity to traditional tube-based guitar amplifiers without the added weight or mechanical/electrical limitations
- Versatile Volume Control
- Go from clean to crunch with the twist of a single knob. The Volume control has access to all the gain levels this amp has to offer, starting with sparkling cleans and eventually reaching full-on tube crunch. Augmenting the Volume control are two switches labeled Boost and Tone. The Boost switch adds some more tube crunch to your existing tone, while the Tone switch accentuates the high frequencies for more sparkle. Both of these switches can be operated hands-free with the separately available footswitch
- Variable Power Control
- Most tube amplifiers are known to have a volume "sweet spot"—meaning they sound their best at a certain setting—where the power tubes are being worked just enough to provide that extra "oomph" to the tone. If that volume setting is deviated from, your tone could be compromised because the power tubes are either being starved (causing your tone to thin out) or overworked (reducing your dynamic range). Unfortunately, that volume sweet spot is often too loud for most live or recording situations. While Tube Logic does give you this dynamic control over your sound, once you find your sweet spot, you can use the variable Power Control knob to reduce the output to 15, 5, or even 0.5 watts to take down the volume and match it to your current playing situation without affecting the tone you dialed in
- Maintenance Free
- A big advantage of Tube Logic is that it alleviates some of the issues common to traditional tube amplifiers. Many tube amplifiers can be heavy and prone to physical damage while requiring regular maintenance of the tubes and other components. On the other hand, the Blues Cube Hot is basically maintenance free and carefully weight relieved wherever possible as not to affect the overall tone of the amp negatively
