Product description The CY-15R from Roland is a cymbal pad for an electronic drum kit. It features three individual sensors on the bell, the bow and on the edge of the cymbal. This enables it to be played like a real cymbal when struck on its different surface areas. Two of the sensors can be used at a time. You can select to use the bow/bell sensors to use the CY-15R as a ride cymbal, or select the edge/bow sensors to use it as a large crash cymbal. This functionality is compatible with any Roland TD or SPD series sound module. You can use all three sensors simultaneously when interfaced with a Roland TD-10 sound module equipped with the latest TDW-1 Wave and System Expansion Board (TDW-1 with V-Cymbal Control). Its 15" diameter is intentionally sized to match the size of a real ride cymbal. When you strike the CY-15R, it's designed to move and rebound physically as a real cymbal would. You can even choke the cymbal with your hand to mute its decay. Every detail, even down to the mounting hardware, is dedicated to recreating the acoustic drumming experience electronically. - 15-inch ride cymbal with realistic playing feel and metallic-gray finish
- Designed with same inertia (movement) as an acoustic ride cymbal
- Selectable dual-trigger system (edge/bow or bow/bell) allows use as ride cymbal or large crash cymbal
- Simultaneous triple sensing (edge/bow/bell) possible using V-Drums TD-10 sound module equipped with the new version of TDW-1 Wave and System Expansion Board (TDW-1 with V-Cymbal Control)
- Circular design with acoustic cymbal dimensions and natural rebound
- Concentrated mass around rim ensures uniform sensing
- Compatible with all Roland TD and SPD series sound modules
