Product description By encasing Rosco's LitePad HO90 LED engine into a steel and aluminum frame, the 6 x 12" LitePad Axiom 90 Daylight-Balanced LED Softlight from Rosco adds durability and additional mounting options to this already versatile light system. With a color temperature around 5300K and a 90+ CRI rating the light is suitable for daylight shooting situations.The frame encloses the LitePad on the back and sides, providing protection from the rigors of production. Even with the metal frame the Axiom 90 is 0.64" thick, and does not require cooling under normal use.
As with the original LitePad you can use a variety of fasteners to mount the Axiom 90, including zip ties or hook and loop fabric. However, the metal frame also allows you to use magnetic fasteners, as well as Rosco's quick-release mounting system for mounting. A built-in gel slot allows you to filter your light without having to resort to tape, clothes pins or other machinations. The Axiom 90 features a power socket and a removable power cord, making it easier to store while lessening the possibility of the power connection becoming damaged. The Axiom 90 can be dimmed using an optional dimmer unit. - LitePad HO90
- The edge-lit design of the LitePad provides for an extremely soft glowing source, which was pioneered by Rosco for use in the film industry. The Axiom 90 incorporates an HO90 LitePad that features increased output and a greater than 90 CRI rating.
- Rugged Housing
- The housing is constructed from steel and aluminum to protect the rigid plastic construction of the HO90 LitePad within. The metal housing also allows for the attachment of different mounting hardware and filters.
- Versatile Mounting
- With Rosco's LitePad Axiom quick-release mounting system, it is now possible to change out the mounting option in just a few seconds. Whether it is a 1/4"-20 stud, a baby pin or even a wall plate, it only takes a moment for a solid connection. Both a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting stud and a baby-pin mounting stud quick-release plates are included with the Axiom 90.
- Interior Connector
- LitePad's new interior connector eliminates the previous hardwire system, which had the potential to be pulled out during use causing damage to the fixture and requiring down time for repair. Based on user feedback, this feature was introduced to make the LitePad more rugged and easier to use, and this improvement has been carried over to the Axiom 90.
- Daylight / Tungsten
- LitePad is available in two color temperatures, daylight (approx. 5300K) and tungsten (approx. 3600K). With tungsten and daylight LitePads, which have equal light output, there is no need to color correct your LitePad, losing valuable light intensity. LitePad's minimum green content allows for high color rendering and great film and digital photography.
- Low Heat
- Because LitePad is an LED light source, the amount of heat generated is very low and does not require forced air cooling. This means your audio recordist will not be complaining about fan noise from your Axiom 90.
- Minimal Power Consumption
- With each LED only consuming a quarter of a watt, LitePad is an energy-efficient light source. There is no longer the need for kilowatts of power or a generator to power a set full of lights. A few dozen LitePads can easily run off available household power.
- Easy on the Eyes
- Unlike many LED sources, LitePad is a bounced LED light - not an array of LEDs pointing directly forward. Performers or technicians can look directly into LitePad without squinting, hurting their eyes or getting a headache.
- Dimmable
- LitePads are a fully dimmable LED product. The proprietary Single Fader Dimmer and 2 CH / DMX Dimmer can smoothly dim any standard size LitePad with no color temperature change. With LitePad's dimmers, you can set the exact light intensity you need.
