Product description Rosco Cinegel Filters are carefully produced on a heat-resistant base polymer using a unique and specific deep-dyed technology. Traditional lighting fixtures use some kind of a reflector that gathers light from a point source which is then focused through a lens. The resulting beam is an intense light that is characterized by a significant amount of "punch". However, this presents its own series of problems. For example, the projected beam field may be uneven in intensity, the beam edge may be too harsh, or the hard shadows created by the beam may be objectionable or unflattering to the subject. When placed between light and subject, diffusion materials change the quality and harshness by spreading the light. This effectively softens the beam and alters its shadow-casting properties. In addition, diffusion reduces the contrast between highlight and shadow areas. - Computerized colorimetry monitors color and density to strict standards. The result is total product consistency
