Product description The Royer R-DB20 dBooster boosts the signal of ribbon and dynamic microphones by making use of 48V phantom power, doing so while protecting ribbon mics from phantom power and providing electrical isolation. As such, the box raises the overall level of these mics without adding color, noise, or distortion. Two levels of boost are on hand: 12 and 20 dB, selectable on the front panel. You can plug a high- or low-impedance source into the dBooster and still get a significant amount of headroom and gain out of the device. This is due, in no small part, to the use of Class-A input circuitry. The low-impedance output of the R-DB20 dBooster offers a signal optimized to drive a digital interface or a standard microphone preamp, allowing you to use long cable runs with minimal signal loss to boot. - Key Features at a Glance
