Product description The Roland/RSS S-0816 is a front of house digital snake. This device routes and delivers digital audio over Ethernet cables. It is a system with 8 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs in this configuration. - Pre-Amps
- Each input channel has its own pre-amp which boosts the gain close to the input source before it is transferred to digital for clean signals with low degradation
- Digital Transfer
- Digital transfer of REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) provides extremely flat and pure audio transfer for the whole frequency bandwidth.
- Ethernet
- After the digital transfer the signals are routed via an outside control source utilizing the Ethernet cable and the S-4000H. When this is utilized external noise sources and hum can be minimal or non-existent
- Application
- Using a standard switching hub, the user can send source audio to multiple recording consoles, a monitor position, broadcast location and more.
