Product description The Rupert Neve Designs RMP-D8 is an 8-channel Dante microphone preamplifier designed to deliver classic Neve tone, high-resolution A/D conversion, and reliable Dante network integration for recording and mixing engineers in broadcast, houses of worship, and live stage applications. The eight Class-A mic preamps, which offer up to 60 dB of gain in 1 dB increments, are paired with custom Rupert Neve Designs transformers. Mic or line inputs can be utilized via the eight XLR-1/4" combo jacks. Mastering-grade converters operate at up to 24-bit/192 kHz resolution and feed digital signal simultaneously to dual Dante network ports and four 2-channel AES XLR outputs. Each channel features selectable 48 VDC phantom power, polarity, a -10 dB pad, and an 80 Hz high-pass filter. RMP-D8 parameters can be viewed and adjusted locally via the large OLED display and front-panel controls, or remotely over the network. Built with touring in mind, the RMP-D8 boasts a reinforced steel chassis, redundant international power supplies, and latching IEC power cables. - Classic Rupert Neve Tone
- The heart of the RMP-D8 lies in the modular mic preamp cards featuring Mr. Rupert Neve's custom transformer designs. Unlike other integrated Dante mic preamp designs that rely primarily on a single IC for gain & tone, each channel on the RMP-D8 has a fully-realized class-A microphone preamplifier feeding a custom transformer, maintaining the high standards of Rupert Neve Designs' standalone preamplifiers.
- Mastering-Grade Conversion
- Where converters are often an afterthought on combination devices, the 24-bit/192 kHz converters in the RMP-D8 are a product of years of careful listening. The precision-controlled internal clocking and enhanced jitter reduction enable capture of the full breadth of performance from the mic preamplifiers. Pull-up and pull-down rates are supported in addition to standard sample rates up to 192 kHz.
- Fail-Safe Dante Integration
- Two rear-panel RJ45 network ports accommodate primary and secondary Dante connections. When properly configured, device operation and signal transmission will continue in the event of a primary network failure. The selectable Gain Compensation mode mirrors the primary outputs with a -6 dB offset to deliver clean safety channels in case of clipping on the main Dante outputs. Additionally, the RMP-D8 is compatible with the Dante Virtual Soundcard and Dante Via for direct computer integration.
- Redundant Power Supplies
- The dual power supplies are reliable and capable of operating anywhere in the world. The included IEC power cables feature a latching design to inhibit accidental disconnects.
- Built for Touring
- The reinforced steel chassis grants enhanced RF shielding and rugged reliability, making it ideal for use in challenging environments such as arenas, clubs, and concert venues.
- Flexible Control
- Operate the RMP-D8 locally via its large OLED display, easy-to-read meters, and convenient front-panel controls. Alternatively, configure and adjust the RMP-D8's parameters via the available software application, which can be used remotely over the network.
