Product description - Hands-On Review: Rycote Perfect for Range of Windshields and Shock Mounts
This Rycote Super-Softie Kit 416 Windshield & Universal Shotgun Mount Kit is designed to work with Sennheiser MKH416 microphones, Neumann KMR 81i mics, and more. Its slip-on windshield features an aerodynamic shape and surface structure made from the company's 3D-Tex material, which allows for attenuation of wind noise with acoustic transparency. It is ideal for a variety of sound recording applications including video, ENG, and more.
The Super-Softie has no rigid internal structure, causing virtually no polar pattern distortion. Its robust design has been engineered for use in challenging environments, and if it becomes rain-soaked, it can be squeezed out and shaken dry expeditiously and with ease. Also, if it becomes coated with dust it can be rinsed quickly without affecting its performance.
Furthermore, the kit includes a patented Duo-Lyre shock mount, which supplies isolation against disturbances, handling noise, low frequency rumble, camera motor vibrations, and more. - Fits These and Similar Sized Mics:
