Product description Connect a 2.5" SATA hard drive or solid state drive externally to your computer with the USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C to 2.5" SATA II Adapter Cable. It is recommended that you use the USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port on your computer to get the maximum data transfer rate of 10 Gb/s, but the adapter cable is backwards compatible with USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 2.0, and USB 1.1 at slower speeds. The 2.5" SATA II connector works with 2.5" SATA hard drives and solid-state drives. The adapter cable is hot-swappable and can be installed without tools. It is plug and play and does not require additional drivers. Features - USB 3.1 Gen 2 features a maximum throughput of 10 Gb/s.
