Product description If you already have an Ace Baseplate, transform it into a full shoulder-mounted solution with the Sachtler Ace Shoulder Rig. Comprised of 15mm rods, a handle set, and a shoulder pad, the entire system fits together with the separately available universal baseplate to create the shoulder rig.
For connecting the baseplate to the rig components, two lengths of 15mm rods are included, 12" and 6" for larger and more compact setups, respectively. The dual handgrips are rubberized for improved grip and sit on articulated ball joints, so you can comfortably orient each handle based on your shooting style. Finally, the shoulder pad is arced to fit over the back of your shoulder. The included counterweight secures to the very end of the shoulder pad for optimal balance. An adjustable offset on the 15mm bracket which holds the shoulder pad allows you to change the side-to-side positioning of the shoulder pad assembly.
When mounted on a tripod using your tripod's quick-release plate, the shoulder rig can be reconfigured for the handle set to act as secondary pan handles for greater versatility and more precise camera moves. Since this rig is based on the 15mm LWS (lightweight system), other 15mm LWS accessories, such as follow focuses and matte boxes, can be used to further expand your camera rig.
