When used with a hub (available separately), this device can send instant notifications to your smartphone or tablet when the sensor and base lose connection. Additionally, you can set up trigger responses to temperature changes, thanks to the built-in temperature sensor, to automatically turn on your heating or cooling. This sensor uses ZigBee to connect to and integrate into your home automation network and also works great on cabinets, drawers, and other access points you need to monitor.
