Product description Connect the Samsung UBD-K8500E HDR UHD Multi-Region/Multi-System Blu-ray Disc Player to your 4K television and enjoy detailed images at four times the resolution of 1080p. In addition to handling standard and 3D Blu-ray media, the UBD-K8500E supports the playback of Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. Furthermore, integrated UHD upscaling technology allows you to enjoy optimized image quality from DVD and Blu-ray video sources. Built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity enable access to free and subscription-based streaming content via Samsung's Smart Hub. It is even equipped with a web browser, powered by an integrated octa-core chipset.
This model's dual HDMI outputs support high-resolution audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio for a dynamic multi-channel surround sound experience. The front-mounted USB 3.0 port allows you to connect devices such as thumb drives for easy playback of multimedia files. There's also a digital optical audio output for feeding multi-channel sound to audio systems without HDMI. Other notable features include CD ripping, screen mirroring, BD Wise, High Dynamic Range (HDR), and Samsung Multiroom Link support. Note: This unit will not convert PAL to NTSC for the playback of PAL DVDs. If you wish to play PAL DVDs, this must be done on a PAL or multi-system TV or with the use of a systems converter. This does not affect the playback of Blu-ray discs. Content acquired via certain apps may require subscription to a service. Not all services are available in all areas. - Enhanced Image Detail
