Product description Schmidt & Bender is a premium optics company based in Germany. Their history begins in 1957 with the development and manufacturing of riflescopes for hunting by moonlight. Being able to sight with both eyes open offers the shooter the ability to see more of the field, check the wind, and visualize the often necessary follow-up shot. The 1.1-4x24 Zenith Riflescope offers an extremely wide field of view, a very low profile, and enough magnification for moderate distance shooting. This scope is an excellent choice for your favorite brush rifle; it sits low to the receiver and your target acquisition is extremely fast. Even though this objective sports a conservative 24mm diameter, the sight picture remains bright and crisp, even later into the day. Schmidt & Bender's legendary optical excellence seemingly contradicts the laws of physics with optical designs that produce extremely high levels of light transmission when ambient light is at a premium. Scientifically formulated coatings enhance the imaging qualities of their scopes even further by reducing or eliminating reflections, flare and glare. This scope is rugged, dependable and repeatable with a refined and elegant contour that will please even the most discerning of shooters. To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable, accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. - The #9 FlashDot reticle gets you on target quickly, regardless of the ambient lighting conditions. The 3 heavy non-tapered posts at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock stand out well against busy or dark backgrounds. A single stadia at 12 o'clock ensures that your eye is directed to the center of the sight picture quickly and efficiently. Near, but not obscuring, the center there is a fine circular aperture that offers a great visual of the space around your point of aim. Fine cross hairs intersect at dead center indicating your point of impact.
The illuminated center spot can be turned on and off as needed. There is an 11 step variable brightness control so you can adjust the dot to the appropriate intensity.
First focal plane positioning of the reticle ensures that the reticle size remains constant throughout the zoom range. This offers a clear and unobstructed view at all levels of magnification.
