Product description Schmidt & Bender is a premium optics company based in Germany. Their history begins in 1957 with the development and manufacturing of riflescopes for hunting by moonlight. Since then, they have focused exclusively on designing and producing extremely high-quality sighting systems that hunters and tactical marksmen rely on to deal with the most difficult of lighting and environmental conditions. Successful missions often depend upon your ability to improvise-adapt-overcome. Consider the extreme savings, obstacles & hardships endured towards attaining success: when such efforts boil down to the moment of a single shot determining whether a life is saved or a trophy is bagged, excuses are irrelevant. The 3-12x50 Police Marksman II LP Riflescope can be your answer to all your sighting needs. The main tube is constructed of a single piece of aluminum alloy and has an outside diameter of 34mm. This is an extremely rugged tube that is totally water and fog proof, yet lightweight and easy to maneuver with. The enhanced diameter of this scope allows for a greater range of precision adjustments and the added surface area provides a very secure mount in your rings. The optics inside all Schmidt & Bender scopes are designed, engineered and manufactured in-house by their own optical division. These lenses are milled, ground, polished, and then coated to achieve quality levels associated with optics found in microscopes and very fine camera lenses. The result of this painstaking effort is an extremely flat field of view, very high resolution, and a low incidence of flare and glare. This scope features a zoom range of 3-12x which is flexible enough to sight within an urban setting, dense brush, or on the open plains or desert. The large 50mm diameter objective delivers a very high light transmission coefficient. Your sight picture will remain brighter than you thought possible, even during twilight. Parallax is controlled by a knob on the left side of the turrets, and it can compensate for distances from 50 yds (46 m) to infinity. This scope is fitted with an illuminated P3 reticle that ensures (with proper calculation) precise shot placement over great distances. This scope features a color coded elevation knob that delivers a total of 56 minutes of adjustment. The color on the knob changes when you adjust past the initial 28 minutes of adjustment, which gives you a fast read when you're adjusting your knobs under stressful conditions. To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable, accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation. - +2/-3 Dioptric correction

- Parallax adjustment is located in a third turret on the left side, allowing adjustments without removing your eye from the scope
- Color Coded Elevation Knob
- One complete turn on the elevation knob corrects for 28 minutes of elevation. At this juncture, the color coding on the knob changes to yellow giving the shooter an instantly recognizable read on what part of the adjustment range the scope is set to. This helps to minimize or eliminate the situation of getting lost when many turns of the knob are executed under stressful situations.
- Illuminated P3 Mil-Dot Reticle
- The P-3 Mil-Dot Reticle was developed by the U.S. Marine Corps as an aid for their scout snipers in estimating distances. It has since become the military standard for range estimating within all branches of the service.
This reticle is illuminated, and features an 11 step variable illumination control that is conveniently located on the left side of the ocular. A spare battery can be stored under the windage knob cap.
