Product description Schmidt & Bender is a premium optics company based in Germany. Their history begins in 1957 with the development and manufacturing of riflescopes for hunting by moonlight. Since then, they have focused exclusively on designing and producing extremely high-quality sighting systems that hunters and tactical marksmen rely on to deal with the most difficult of lighting and environmental conditions. Successful missions often depend upon your ability to improvise-adapt-overcome. When your sporting firearm is fitted with the 3-12x50 Precision Hunter Riflescope you've made a serious commitment to your hunt. These scopes are based on the popular Classic Series, and have additional features to help you bag your quarry. The construction of this line, like all Schmidt & Bender riflescopes, is superb. This scope features a robust 30mm main tube, carefully crafted from a single piece of high tensile strength aluminum alloy. The tube is purged, making it water and fogproof so your outdoor experience will not be compromised by dynamic weather conditions. Extremely high quality optics are then carefully engineered and installed, ensuring a brilliant sight picture that will astound you; even during twilight. An amazing level of light transmission is made possible by the specially designed optical stack, excellent coatings, and an impressive 50mm objective lens. This scope makes quite a two fold statement; It is impressive to look at and to look through. Remember, these scopes were designed for hunting at night, so you can only imagine how bright your sight picture is when the sun is still above the horizon. To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable, accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience.
