The elegant streamlined contour of this optical wonder will be a perfect compliment in form and function for your favorite sporting firearm. When moving from dense brush to open fields, the 3-12x magnification range will accommodate your every move. A simple 180 degree (1/2 turn) rotation of the zoom eyepiece takes you through the entire power range quickly and efficiently. Quite notable is the generous 3.5" of eye relief, and the extremely comfortable, easily registered, sight picture. Of course this scope also features the legendary Schmidt & Bender optics, with their incredible levels of light transmission and optimum resolution. Out front is a rather impressive 50mm objective lens which helps to ensure a wonderfully bright, clear and sharp sight picture. These scopes were designed for hunting in the evening, so you can only imagine how bright they are, even during twilight. To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable, accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. - The #9 FlashDot reticle gets you on target quickly, regardless of the ambient lighting conditions. The 3 heavy non-tapered posts at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock stand out well against busy or dark backgrounds. A single stadia at 12 o'clock ensures that your eye is directed to the center of the sight picture quickly and efficiently. Near, but not obscuring, the center there is a fine circular aperture that offers a great visual of the space around your point of aim. Fine cross hairs intersect at dead center indicating your point of impact.
The illuminated center spot can be turned on and off as needed. There is an 11 step variable brightness control so you can adjust the dot to the appropriate intensity.
First focal plane positioning of the reticle ensures a consistent point of impact across the entire zoom range.
