Product description Schneider's 36.5mm Filter System for ARRI Alexa consists of seven mounted Schneider Ultra Precision Multi-Coated In-Camera filters and an install kit.
Schneider Optics manufactures and distributes the innovative In-Camera Filter System, developed by Clairmont Camera, for the ARRI Alexa camera. Working closely with Schneider, Clairmont Camera's Andree Martin and Alan Albert designed the custom assembly that magnetically holds interchangeable Schneider filters in front of the Alexa's CMOS sensor assembly.
The system includes a custom designed Alexa baffle/filter holder that replaces the light baffle in the Alexa camera, a PL Shim to precisely compensate the shift in focal distance resulting from behind the lens filter and LDS spacer board to compensate for the shift in the PL mount. The system allows secure mounting and precise positioning of the custom manufactured, ultra-precision Schneider filters. Camera assistant can now change the filters in minutes. When no filtering is desired, a clear filter is used to precisely maintain focus. All filters for the system are high efficiency multi-layer coated to minimize flare and ghosting.
