Product description The Schneider 40mm lens is a six-element apochromatically corrected lens of the Schneider HM Series. Schneider has set new standards for the most stringent demands of professional enlarging techniques. The quality of its image over a practically unlimited enlarging range meets perfectly all the wishes of the professional photographer, especially when working with the new fine-grained films. Schneider manufactures its optics with a high degree of precision, ensuring the lasting quality of the Apo-Componon HM. The design has been adjusted to the special requirements of high-quality enlarging techniques. The 40mm HM lens has been equipped with a luminous aperture scale, illuminated setting index, preset iris, and click stops which can be disengaged. The preset iris allows the diaphragm to be opened after setting the working apertures in order to correct the image sector or focusing. Afterwards, the diaphragm can be reset easily. - Slightly wide 35mm enlarging lens of superior quality
- Ideal for short-column enlargers
- The iris can be opened after stopping down to the desired aperture for final cropping adjustment or fine focusing
