Product description How to Use ND Filters: Tips, Tricks, and Special Effects Read More The Schneider 5 x 5" Neutral Density 1.2 Attenuator Filter is a 5 x 5" / 12.7 x 12.7cm ND filter. Neutral Density filters attenuate light through absorption, which allows you to photograph with a wider aperture than normally required. They also enable you to properly expose brighter areas of the image while compensating for darker areas. Featuring a subtle overall gradation from clear to maximum density, these filters do not have a hard separation line between the dense and clear areas; thus providing a more natural appearance and not requiring you to hide the grad line within the image. The 1.2 ND filter provides a reduction of 4 stops.
The Schneider Neutral Density Attenuators are made using crystal-clear water-white optical glass and are engineered with the greatest smoothness, consistency, and uniformity in mind. Neutral Density filters can be used in combination with other filters and do not affect image quality or coloration. - Attenuate light through absorption, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture than normally required.
