Product description The Schneider Optics C-Mount Extension Tube is a 0.19" female C-mount to male C-mount extension tube. This extension tube enables close focus of your lens, beyond what the lens is designed to be capable of. Please note that when using the tube, you will no longer be able to reach infinity focus, and there may be some loss of light reaching the sensor.
You can also use this extension tube to adapt a CS-mount camera to accept C-mount lenses, which have a longer flange focal length than CS-mount lenses. The threaded hole in the side of the tube allows you to use an optional set screw to secure your lens in the extension tube so it won't shift or rotate. - In general, the use of an extension tube can result in a decrease in the amount of light reaching the imaging plane. The amount of light loss varies with the distance that you extend the lens. You may have to adjust your exposure to compensate.
- Using this extension tube enables mounting a C-mount lens on a CS-mount camera. The tube provides the correct flange-focal distance, enabling the lens to function as intended and will not affect the light transmission.
- Please note, a set screw is not included with the extension tube.
