Product description The Schoeps CMIT Mono Piano Set is a shotgun microphone with a windscreen set designed for mono recording of dialog and instruments indoors or outdoors in windy conditions. It includes a Schoeps CMIT 5U shotgun condenser microphone, basket-type windscreen system, fur cover, microphone clip, and a wood case. The CMIT 5U boasts a wide frequency response, excellent off-axis rejection, and selectable frequency adjustments. The included PIA-1 windscreen set features elastic suspension to cradle the microphone and eliminate handling noise. Install the supplied long-pile fur cover over the protective cage for enhanced immunity to wind noise without compromising acoustical transparency. The PIA-1's one-axis swivel with 3/8" thread allows easy mounting on a boompole. Audio connectivity is simplified via the integrated XLR extension. - Enhanced Rejection of Off-Axis Sound
- Low-coloration and steady attenuation of off-axis sound results in a narrow pick-up pattern and balanced sonic character
- High Directionality
- The supercardioid/lobe-shaped polar pattern offers directionality that increases smoothly with higher frequencies
- Switchable Filters
- Select one of three filter settings for a high-frequency rise or reduced low frequencies
- Versatile Frequency Selections
- Choose between a 5 dB shelving boost at 10 kHz, a 6 dB/octave roll-off at 300 Hz, an 18 dB/octave roll-off at 80 Hz, or a 6 dB/octave roll-off at 40 Hz (default mode)
- Neutral Sonic Characteristics
- The wide frequency response and high maximum SPL enable the microphone to accurately capture dialog and instruments
- Effective Physical Protection
- Cinela OSIX–style elastic suspension prevents the transmission of noise from your boom to the mic
- Attenuation of Wind Noise
- Fur cover easily installs over the windscreen cage and delivers high attenuation of wind noise
