Product description The CMIT5U Shotgun Microphone Kit from Schoeps includes a blue CMIT5U Shotgun Microphone and a Rycote Super-Shield Kit for Shotgun Microphones. The CMIT5U is suitable both for music and speech; its directionality increases smoothly with higher frequencies and sound level decreases softly yet steadily for off-axis sounds. The Super-Shield is a synthetic fur cover used to combat extreme wind noises without substantial high-frequency loss. A wooden case and a foam windscreen are also included. - CMIT 5U Shotgun Microphone (Blue) The blue Schoeps CMIT 5U is a short, lightweight shotgun condenser microphone designed to deliver accurate close and distant capture of dialog and musical instruments for boom operators, audio engineers, and musicians in film, television, and video production as well as music recording applications. Its supercardioid/lobe-shaped polar pattern yields precise directionality, high immunity to wind noise, and low coloration at the off-axis sections of the capsule. Multiple filter settings allow you to tailor the 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response to suit different environments and scenarios. A 40 Hz roll-off is active without any filter selection; the switches provide low-cut filters at 80 Hz or 300 Hz for management of proximity effect and handling noise, while a selectable high-frequency boost at 10 kHz enables increased vocal clarity and compensation for high-frequency loss caused by windscreens. LED indicators provide a reading of settings in low light and the settings are retained after power down. No batteries are required as the CMIT 5U is operated via 48V phantom power. It includes a windscreen, mic clip, and wood case.

- Super-Shield Kit for Shotgun Mics (Medium) The medium Super-Shield Kit for Shotgun Mics from Rycote is a complete windshield and shock mounting system for shotgun microphones 20-25cm in length. The kit contains the Super-Shield Suspension which provides your microphone isolation from shocks and vibrations, the Super-Shield Windshield which provides wind-noise reduction with minimal high-frequency loss, and the Windjammer, a high-quality synthetic fur cover which provides protection against extreme wind noise.
The Super-Shield Suspension features patented Lyre technology, which provides your microphone isolation from shocks and vibrations without the use of rubbers or elastic. The chassis fits microphones 19mm (3/4") to 25mm (1") in diameter, using two snap-in, pinch-release Lyre suspensions that can be used in any of six positions to achieve the optimal balance and fit. The suspension comes with an 18" (450mm) high flexibility microphone cable.
Made up of two lightweight, durable baskets made from flexible grey plastic netting with a screening material attached, the Super-Shield Windshield connects to the Super-Shield Suspension. The windshield completely surrounds and creates a still volume of air around the microphone, which is designed to provide wind-noise reduction, with minimal high-frequency loss.
The Super-Shield Windjammer is a synthetic fur cover which provides another layer of protection to be used to combat extreme wind noise. Like the Super-Shield Windshield, it is designed to protect from wind without substantial high-frequency loss. - Fits these and similar sized mics:
