• CMC 6UNI Microphone Amplifier The CMC 6UNI Microphone Amplifier from Schoeps is designed for standard 12 or 48V phantom powering. As the capsules of condenser microphones from Schoeps cannot be directly connected to microphone cables or inputs, a microphone amplifier is required in between. The amplifier’s circuitry recognizes the supply voltage and adjusts itself automatically.Its performance characteristics remain essentially the same with both 12 and 48V; mainly, the difference is that the current drawn at 12V is greater than at 48V. However, the 12V mode consumes less power and might be preferred for battery-powered recording.The microphone amplifier provides the electrostatic charge which the capsule requires in order to produce a signal. Since only a miniscule amount of current is contained in this signal, amplification of the current is required. To avoid interference to the signal on the way from the microphone to the input of the mixer or preamp, the signal is conveyed at low impedance and in a balanced form. The amplifier offers a symmetrical, transformer-less, direct-coupled Class A output stage with low impedance, low distortion, and high freedom from interference. Note: The 2 amplifiers in a stereo pair of microphones should be of the same type.
• MK22 Open Cardioid Capsule for the CCM 22 Compact Microphone The Schoeps MK22 is part of the Colette series of modular capsules designed for use with the CMC preamplifiers. The MK22 combines the cardioid polar pattern of the MK4 with the sonic characteristics of the MK21. The result is a microphone that is ideal for spot capturing, with a polar pattern that effectively reduces ambient noise and feedback. The MK22 has a perfect combination of reference microphone and instrument microphone characteristics, for crucial capturing in recording and live audio applications.

  • The MK22 combines the cardioid polar pattern of the MK4 with the sonic characteristics of the MK21.
  High Frequency Shelf

• Solid Foam Teardrop Popscreen for Schoeps Colette Series Microphones (Gray) This gray Solid Foam Teardrop Popscreen from Schoeps is an acoustic foam close-speech popscreen intended for use with Schoeps Colette Series microphones, but compatible with other microphone capsules as well. It provides sufficient protection at normal speaking distances for cardioids and other directional capsules, especially when speech capsules are used. With omnidirectional capsules, it may even be used outdoors in light wind. This popscreen has minimal effect on sound quality.
