Product description The Decca Tree Set 2H from Schoeps has all the components you need to set up a Decca Tree array. The set consists of three matched CCM 2H Lg Compact Microphones, three KA 40 Sphere Attachments, and a common wooden box for storage.The CCM 2H Lg is a small, light-weight microphone featuring an omnidirectional pattern. Its extended low frequency response and low noise make it well-suited for demanding applications. The sound inlet of the CCM 2H Lg is narrow causing a slight, purely acoustic response elevation above 6 kHz, which helps to preserve natural sound quality. This reduces the high frequency loss for diffuse sound, which helps preserve natural sound quality. The microphone is suitable for recording natural-sounding pickup of instruments and orchestra in spaces with well-balanced reverberance.The 40mm diameter KA 40 Sphere Attachment, when used with the CCM 2S Lg omnidirectional microphone, creates the illusion of closer placement so that greater miking distances can be used while maintaining good focus in the sound. This in turn improves the blend and balance when recording orchestras or choruses. - CCM 2H LG Compact Omnidrectional Condenser Microphone The CCM 2H LG Compact Omnidrectional Condenser Microphone from Schoeps boasts a omnidirectional polar pattern and has mild high-frequency emphasis above 6 kHz, and can be used for subjects a at a medium distance. It includes a removable 5m long cable with a Lemo to XLR-3M connector.

It creates the illusion of closer microphone placement so that greater miking distances can be achieved. The KA 40 is designed to capture more detail especially for orchestras or choruses. The effect is partly due to an increase in directivity, but mainly to the increased midrange response. The low-frequency response remains undiminished. Sold as a single unit.
