Product description The Sea & Sea VF180 1.2x Straight Prism Viewfinder is a photographic viewing aid compatible with both RDX and MDX series underwater housings. Constructed from a durable, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy, the finder features an anodized finish. It also boasts an impressive 328' (100 m) depth rating. Attachment to the housing is achieved via removal of the original viewfinder and installation of this one in its place. The VF180 features a magnification of 1.2x--without sacrificing field of view. Thus, your subject appears larger but you can still fit everything in the frame. Because it's a straight finder, the VF180 lets you compose your images as if you were looking directly through the camera's built-in viewfinder.
The optical lens construction of the viewfinder is 8 elements in 6 groups, allowing for beautiful reproduction of natural colors. Filled with nitrogen gas, the VF180 prevents condensation and fogging for clearer visibility. An eyepiece guard keeps light from entering the finder, thus minimizing glare and reflection for improved viewing. You will have to use the included attachment tool in order to attach the viewfinder to your housing. Please note that, for the MDX-PRO 5D Mark II, you will also need to use the included accessory spacer in order to install the viewfinder on your housing. These select housings require factory modification for installation: RDX-550D, MDX-PRO D3, MDX-D300, and MDX-40D. The rest of the compatible housings for this viewfinder are as follows: RDX-600D, MDX-D7000, MDX-7D, MDX-D300s, and MDX-PRO D700. - Compatible with both RDX and MDX series underwater housings
