Product description Illuminate the coral, parrot fish, and seascapes you find on your underwater adventures with this YS-01 Strobe Lighting Package with Sea Arm 8 and Strobe Mask Set from Sea & Sea. This kit bundles the YS-01 flash, Sea Arm 8 Compact Digital Set, and 17.8" Fiber-Optic Cable II to give you a complete underwater lighting setup for photography. It also provides the Strobe Mask Set, which blocks the on-camera flash from exposing your subject in order to prevent backscatter.
The YS-01 Strobe is a compact slave flash with a beam angle of 100 x 100° and a guide number of 66' at ISO 100. The DS-TTL feature gives you automatic exposure control when shooting in slave mode, and the ten-level manual mode allows for finer lighting control. With a daylight-balanced color temperature of 5600 K, or 5250 K with a diffuser, the flash can restore vibrant, rich colors that get absorbed and turned into muted blues and grays underwater. Additionally, the strobe features a 1W LED target light. You can use it safely at a maximum depth of 250'.
The Sea Arm 8 Compact Digital Set is a modular system for connecting the strobe to an underwater housing system for a DSLR camera. It includes a housing tray with a grip handle and a 5.7" SA8 double-ball lighting arm that connects to the handle. Also supplied are 2 ball clamps and a small strobe head adapter.
Sea & Sea's coiled, 17.8" Fiber-Optic Cable II is equipped with two 90° fittings on the ends. One connects to the strobe and the other connects to the housing. It's compatible with all Sea & Sea housings and is designed for use with the internal Optical YS-Converter. The cable's 613 fibers ensure that light transmission remains high while increasing durability and resistance to bending.
