• YS-D2 Underwater Strobe (Black) Illuminate the underwater world in rich, natural color at depths up to 328' with the black YS-D2 Underwater Strobe from Sea & Sea. It features a guide number of 104' / 32 m on land at ISO 100; this value changes to 65' with the supplied Diffuser-120, or 78' with the supplied Diffuser-100. The flash has a beam angle of 80 x 80°, which is widened to 100 x 100° with the Diffuser-100 and 120 x 120° with the Diffuser-120. A daylight-balanced color temperature of 5600K enables the strobe to restore colors that are absorbed underwater, thus allowing for more vibrant and accurate images.
  
  Both TTL and manual flash exposure modes are available on the YS-D2. Unlike the previous model, the YS-D1, this strobe features audible and ready-light TTL confirmation. Additionally, the rear side of the unit has a glowing panel with easy-to-read controls, which will be helpful in low-light situations. The YS-D2 is configured with a 5-pin sync cord connector and a fiber-optic port for connection to an underwater camera housing. It is powered by 4 AA Alkaline or NiMH batteries.

    • Automatically turns off when strobe fires and turns back on after 0.5 sec

  Controls, Modes, and Operation
  • • Both TTL (DS-TTL and slave TTL) and manual flash exposure modes are available
    • Sea & Sea's DS-TTL II system has been improved, with an added function that stabilizes light emission by controlling voltage differences--so variability of intensity will not be evident during continuous firing
    • Accuracy of TTL exposure has been increased, and images are less likely to be overexposed
    • EV control function can fine-tune amount of light emitted. Exposure compensation range has been improved to +/- 2.0 EV: -2.0, -1.5, -1.0, -0.7, -0.3, +0.3, +0.7, +1.0, +1.5, +2.0
    • Custom function allows for compatibility with cameras that have non-standard pre-flash in DS-TTL and manual modes
    • Illuminated control panel for good visibility in dark conditions
    • Color of illumination changes to indicate mode: aqua blue for DS-TTL, blue for slave TTL, orange for manual pre-flash, and green for manual mode without pre-flash
    • Large knobs and magnetic rotary switch enable improved handling and fast operation, while helping to prevent accidental activation/deactivation

• Arm 8 Compact Digital Set The Sea & Sea Sea Arm 8 Compact Digital Set is a modular system for connecting an external strobe to an underwater housing for a DSLR camera. The SA8 Compact Digital Set starts with the SA8 Camera Tray + Grip, an L-shaped component that connects (via a standard 1/4"-20 screw) to most compact camera housings on the market.The set also includes an SA8 Fixed Ball Base, a 5.7"-long SA8 Double Ball Arm - Small, and an SA8 Strobe Head - Small. This last piece is used to mount a YS series strobe from Sea & Sea. Connecting components are two SA8 Ball Clamps, which can be tightened and loosened to enable adjustment of the arm's positioning. Meticulously machined from a solid aluminum block, the SA8 system is highly rigid and at the same time extremely lightweight at only 1.2 lb. UPC: 752221990973
• 17.8" Fiber-Optic Cable II with 2 Sea & Sea Fittings This is a coiled, 17.8" Fiber-Optic Cable II from Sea & Sea for use in underwater photography. It's equipped with two 90° Sea & Sea fittings on the ends; one connects to a compatible external strobe, and the other connects to the fiber-optic cable socket on select underwater housings, allowing your strobe to be triggered by the firing of the camera's built-in flash. It's compatible with all Sea & Sea housings and strobes and is designed for use with the internal Optical YS-Converter. Since the cable is bi-directional, either end may be attached to a housing or strobe. The cable is composed of 613 fibers, or cores, as opposed to one large fiber, to ensure that light transmission remains high even when the cable is bent, and also to increase durability and resist bending. • Strobe Mask Set This Sea & Sea Strobe Mask Set is used to attach the Sea & Sea Fiber Optic Cable to many manufacturers underwater housings. The mask blocks the on-camera flash from exposing your subject. This prevents back-scatter.
