Through the SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, which is backwards compatible with SATA II 3 Gb/s and SATA 1.5 Gb/s, this drive features maximum sustained transfer rates of up to 226 MB/s and a 7200 rpm rotational speed. There is also a 128MB cache that helps to ensure uninterrupted data transfers.
