A 6TB drive will allow you to store movies, photos, music, documents, and much more. This hard drive connects to your system's 3.5" bay via the SATA III 6 Gb/s interface. Through the SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, which is backwards compatible with SATA II 3 Gb/s and SATA 1.5 Gb/s, this drive features maximum sustained transfer rates of up to 226 MB/s and a 7200 rpm rotational speed. There is also a 128MB cache that helps to ensure uninterrupted data transfers.
Designed with Enterprise-use in mind, this drive may be used in 24x7 (8,760 hours per year) always-on operating environments and is engineered to handle workloads of up to 550TB per year. This drive also contains several features to help ensure a strong operational life including the ability to withstand temperatures up to 140°F / 60°C, 2.0 million hours MTBF, an AFR of 0.44%, and low power consumption.
