Product description The PRIME 1300W 80 Plus Gold ATX Modular Power Supply from Seasonic Electronics helps users achieve a good balance of efficiency, performance, and power, while its wattage range makes it suitable for heavy gaming and overclocking. This power supply features a single +12V rail that delivers up to 1300W of power to 12 PCIe, 12 SATA, 5 molex, and other essential connectors. It is certified with an 80-PLUS Gold rating for efficient use of energy, while cooling is accomplished using an onboard 135mm fan with a fluid dynamic bearing. Other features include a modular, flat cable design, which helps improve airflow within the system by reducing the amount of unnecessary cables. General Features - 80 PLUS Gold
- The PRIME Gold Series achieves 80 PLUS Gold certification with its 90% efficiency at 50% system load.
- Micro Tolerance Load Regulation
- Seasonic's design keeps the output voltage within a very tight range, achieving under 0.5% load regulation, making this power supply a suitable choice for high-performance systems.
- Hybrid Fan Control
- Seasonic's experience in designing silent and efficient power supplies on the market has translated into the development of Hybrid Mode, which helps enable users to keep the overall fan noise at a low level.
- Fluid Dynamic Fan Bearing
- High performance Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fans are designed to take advantage of the impact absorbance effects of oil. They are reliable and generate less operating noise and heat than ball bearing fans. The lubrication of the bearing surface helps reduce friction and vibration and therefore lowers the overall power consumption. Due to the quieter rotations and its robust construction, this reliable fan technology also helps increase the lifespan of the fan.
- How It Works
- When the fan shaft rotates, high pressure oil drifts along the grooves of the bearing sleeve to generate a thin layer of lubrication between the bearing faces. As the speed increases, so does dynamic oil pressure and the shaft is lifted from the bearing to create smooth rotations. The herringbone shape of the groves helps to efficiently channel the lubricant and avert leakage.
- Cable-free Connection Design
- Seasonic's engineers have implemented a design feature where instead of cables, the back panel and the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) are connected by a copper plate. This solution not only lowers the chance of production errors during manual insertion but it also improves output power quality.
