  • Senal SCM-660 Unboxing & Overview
  The SCM-660 from Senal is a professional-grade, multi-pattern, true condenser microphone that features a large 1.3" gold-plated transducer element. The microphone offers a full, rich tone, making it an ideal choice for studio recording, broadcasting, podcasting, or live recording. With an SPL handling of 140 dB, the SCM-600 captures vocals and instruments accurately and with pristine clarity.With three selectable polar patterns, cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8, the SCM-660 is capable of a wide range of miking techniques and configurations. In addition, the onboard -10 dB attenuation pad optimizes signal levels, and the integrated 80 Hz high-pass filter rolls off unwanted low-frequency noise and rumble when recording.Built with all-metal construction, the microphone comes with a suspension shockmount with additional suspension bands to reduce unwanted vibrations. A rugged aluminum carry case, a protective pouch, and a 5/8" threaded adapter are also included.

  The Presonus Studio Channel is a channel strip that features a tube preamp, a VCA compressor, and a 3-band parametric EQ. The tube preamp section features two knobs: Gain and Tube Drive. This allows you to adjust the amount of signal that hits the tube circuitry, opening up a wide range of sonic options. The VCA compressor section is well-suited to help all different kinds of audio sit nicely in a mix, whether it's percussion with fast transients, or smooth and silky vocals. The parametric EQ features a custom amplifier with a gain control on each of the 3 bands, with a variable Q knob on the mid frequency.If you're curious about outboard gear and want to upgrade your signal path from the stock preamp found on most audio interfaces, the Presonus Studio Channel is an excellent choice for deeper sonic exploration.   The black Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series XLR M to XLR F Microphone Cable (10') is designed to be an extremely quiet and flexible cable that is ideal for the most demanding live sound and performance applications. The cable is engineered to be durable and to provide protection against EMI, RFI, and static noise. While the cable's color-coding affords the ability to quickly differentiate between multiple connections on stage, it provides a pleasant aesthetic quality at the same time.
  
  Premium Performance 3000 Series cables are made from 24-AWG OFC copper wire that's wrapped with PE insulation and a conductive PVC inner shield. A cotton-yarn inner layer helps reduce electrostatic and microphonic noise. 95% dual-spiral shielding makes the cable resistant to EMI and RFI noise. The Neutrik XX silver connectors provide a high level of connectivity, and all the solder connections are shrink-wrapped for protection.
